Controler stability
There are several reasons to consciously design feedback loops. It affects general converter stability, but it is responsible for dynamic response in case of load step or reached output ripples.

Small power converters applies to many applications in wide range of electronics. Even huge systems need to be supported by auxiliary converters. Depends on requirements it could be isolated or non-isolated and designed for passive cooling as well as for forced airflow. There are very common products for industry, automotive, IoT, general purpose and AC/DC systems provided high power factor and low harmonics distortions. For LED driver the most efficient way of control is achieved by constant-current outputs.

Developing high power conversion systems is very demanding. Frequently it requires mature approach based on calculations and simulations to decrease risks. Bring up and testing should be performed by skilled team due to high electric shock hazard, especially in high voltage applications. Nowadays batteries are included in many electronics applications. Small power applications and relatively low battery capacity in IoT, consumer electronics up to high power electromobility applications, electric vehicles and batteries banks. The second group frequently has to be equipped with battery management circuits as well as isolation measurement for safety operation.
Prototyping and troubleshooting
Considering any development project, bring up or commissioning are huge steps. Besides design procedures confirmed by theoretical analyzes and even simulations, they are the most obvious way to confirm product functionality. During these phases research prototypes become more mature and circuits can be reused in development process.

DC SMPS High density
DC-DC Converters are becoming more demanding. There is nothing unusual when switching frequency is really high or maximum space is limited by the specification. For a few wats, power converters with integrated components can be used. When hundreds wats are under consideration there is often not straight way to achieve high density and high efficiency.
